The zip file is updated again with the register.asp page included.

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> hmmm, I got this working ok in SR4, with the instructions in the zip. What is the javascript error you are getting? And you are using SR4 right?
Richard, would it make a difference with the common or capital F? I'm using it with a capital F and don't have any problems.
But Frankie, try Rich's suggestion and see if that fixes it. I will update the zip with the SR4 files in a few minutes.

Huh, the problem is its not refreshing. If I shut my browser down and then type and preview a new message, it previews ok.
Any tips to remedy this problem?

this is a page caching problem. If you right click inside the preview window and choose "Refresh" then it will show the correct text. Also you can press < F5 > to have the same affect. |

Nope that doesn't work, I even set my browser to check for a new page everytime but that did no good either <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Till, did you try downloading the .zip file and using the files in it?
I still think it's a page caching problem. IE has never really behaved well with regard to the settings for page caching (at least the newer versions).
You might try < CTRL > < F5 > to force it to load a new page from within the Preview window.
Also, I have placed the following meta tag in <b>inc_top_short.asp</b>:
<font size=1><pre id=code><font face=courier size=2 id=code><meta http-equiv="pragma" content="no-cache"></font id=code></pre id=code></font id=size1>
This works for me, I no longer have to refresh the preview window to get the latest text in it.
Just insert it at line #56 (right underneath the meta name tag)

Hi there, I installed your mod but it's showing me the HTML code, not the end result! I used the pre-modified files included in the zip, and this is Snitz 3.1SR4, of course

Are you seeing this problem only when you preview the signature? Or do you get the problem also when you are previewing a post?
Because the preview signature uses the same function that the preview message uses. So if you are having that problem with the signature preview then it would also affect the message preview.
You have the default settings of Forum Code: On and Allow HTML: Off right?

Ah yes, sorry, the normal preview button is giving me code aswell, not just the mod.
I'll just go check the settings...

Yes the settings are defaults BUT...
I've cocked something up bigtime, because now preview just gives this:
quote: <ul><li> </li><li> </li><li> </li></ul>
...regardless of what's typed (!)
**** I've just applied several mods, it's going to take ages to find what I've done, anyone got any glues what could cause that output?

Ok, well you can start a new topic in the Help: General forum, since it's not a problem with the mod, and also you will get help quicker that way than in this topic.
