I want to send the URL for a page to a number of people in an e-mail. I also want to be able to send an icon with the URL so all the user has to do is drag the icon to their desktop and they have a ready made shortcut to the page.
So, I create the shortcut I want on my own desktop, change its icon to my custom .ico file and drag it into the e-mail, OK so far. Problem is that while the icon appears in the e-mail for both me and the recipient, if recipient tries to drag it out of the e-mail onto their desktop it changes to a generic flying windows type icon. If I use a standard windows icon it doesnt get changed.
Anyone got any ideas other than putting the URL in the message as text which my Marketing Dept will not accept.
