Are there any open-source news sites in asp available on the net?

Something like cnn.com or msnbc.com or something similar?

This would be the holy grail of asp applications for me if it's available.

Any information in this search would be greatfully appreciated.

Anyone? Many of the open-source news sites that I've found are like weblogs and don't behave like cnn.com or any other news site.

Any advice?

Are you looking for something like http://www.moreover.com ?

They provide news headlines, linked to their source. You can embed the headlines in your site (with stories selected by keyword matching or categories), and format it to match the look-and-feel of your site.

No. I want to be able to use my own content that I make. For example, if I add an article with a photo then it will be added to a section of the web site and automatically update which articles are shown by category and archive older ones.

I essentially have a site that I want, sort of a frankensite that I put together with a mix of codes that I've found, but it's not all 100 percent automated; see http://www.kylejanek.com .

There are many ways that I want to customize the code that I use but I only know how to put together snippets of code - not actually write it. I think starting off from scratch would be better if there was an open-source site like cnn.com, msnbc.com, foxnews.com, nytimes.com, etc...

Any advice?
