the file library mod works with any version of the forum, it does not require any changes to the forum code.

i have tryed that with my forum but when i upload a file it will upload the file but then i come back to the file library and no files are there.


can u help me with that plz??

have you set the permissions correctly on the directories

i think that i get a permission denied but i carnt set the permissions on the directories.

i htink they r set to 777

got any ideas?

you need to ask your host to allow write/modify rights to your library directory.

uumm what does it do? does it make a folder in the uploaded part or do i make a new folder?

uumm just out od curiosity...there is a link in uploadengine.asp i think that trys to move some files or something like tta.

what is that??i think thats what is causing the problem.

Any ideas?

If you are running on a windows server, the 777 that your ftp client tells you does not mean anything, ftp clients are unable to read or set the security for NT folders.

You need to getyour host to set the permissions for the IUSR_XXXXXX account on your uploaded directory. The movefile renames the file you uploaded with a different name, none of this will be a problem if your permissions are set correctly

ok i have just got onto them and they said to log into the admin thing and set them there and i did but nothing happends.still get that same error
