If you are using the version of whos's online that was made for v3.0 of Snitz Forums then it's looking in the wrong place for the cookie that v3.1 and newer versions of Snitz Forums 2000 is writing. |

in the online2.asp file do a search for <b>strCookieURL</b>, if you don't find it then it will need to be fixed. the other files included with the whos_online mod should have <b>strCookieURL</b> somewhere in them also, if not then you have the version that will only work with versions prior to 3.1 of Snitz Forums 2000. |

thanks Richard Kinser ... thats exactly the problem !
just for your info .. i had to read through the topic again about the whos online mod to figure out which file i had to get
might be a good idea to post a brand new topic telling people which files they really need to get

Wow what an overwhelming topic... Although I have read and re-read and re-read, and ... oooopps sorry, getting a little carried away I am still missing where it is telling about the 3.1SR2 version. Currently I am having this same diffaculty with the (Guest) I have downloaded the whosonline.zip, and the whos_online_setup.zip. Ran both of them, and still no luck with the members showing up. I have also tried most of the other things like logging out, and back in, etc. Any help would be apperciated.
Thanks

jessica, in the thread about the whos_online mod, I posted a link to a file called <b>whos.zip</b>, if you download it and only use the files for the whos_online mod (not the default.asp or the forum.asp) then that should solve your problem |

I checked the DB and actually the person online is put in the table so it's seems to be a SELECT syntax error on line 84 in default.asp

I found the error is in line 81-82
strSql = strSql & " ORDER BY " & strTablePrefix & "CATEGORY.CAT_ORDER ASC" strSql = strSql & ", " & strTablePrefix & "CATEGORY.CAT_NAME ASC;"
You can change to a single line stating
strSql = strSql & " ORDER BY " & strTablePrefix & "CATEGORY.CAT_NAME ASC;"
And so it works but..... where is the WHO'S ONLINE FEATURE????? plz sum1 of the gurus answer
