I received a notification of new posting in a forum which I am subscribed to, but when I click on the link in email I receive a message
You have no access...
When I look at the forum it shows last post by a regular member but no topics where I can look for the post by that member.

What was the link in the e-mail?
What probably happened was someone posted a message in a forum you are subscribed to, then that post was moved to a forum that you don't have access to. |

Yep, that is what happened. I was doing a test by approving the post before moving it to see how it affected the Last Post Time/Author in that forum. When I approved the post, you got the e-mail because you are subscribed to that forum. But, then the post was moved to an Admin Only forum, that is the reason you get the No Access message when you try to view that post. |

That's Okay. However when I view all Forums on the default.asp it tells a last poster Jan 17th... 2 Topics
When I click on the forum it finds only one topic and last poster is different. I understand other topic is the one I do not have access to. But may be it should not show the last poster from the topic to which I do not have access and is also not visible to me.

Yes, there seems to be a problem with moving already approved posts from a forum where Moderation is turned on. I'm not sure yet if it depends on whether the forum where the post is being moved to requires Moderation to be turned on or not for this problem to exist. |

I dont think its limited to moved topics. I tried to reply to that test thread in the announcemts forum to say it was an inappropriate location, but the topic was deleted before I pushed submit. Now my name is on the last post.

Nathan, your reply did go through. That's why your name was listed on the default page as having made the last post in that forum.
I ran "Update Forum Counts" to correct it so it should be correct now. |

Ok, I got a timeout error, so I didn't think it made it.
