With a little work, you could use the member database to log into ConquerChat (www.theill.com). Within the last couple of days someone posted a sweet ASP based chat called Easy Chat. Again, you could tweak it a little to use the forum database. For me, I am trying to decide between the two.

http://www.wildhobbies.com/chat30/ - Conquer Chat
http://www.wildhobbies.com/chat/ - Easy Chat

Once I make a final decision, the user database integration should be fairly easy as both take a login/password as the opening parameter.

Kerry,

The Easy Chat seems to have a deal more functionality than the ConquerChat, but CC has the ability to "grow" rooms on the fly, which is a useful feature.

Could the internal mail in EasyChat be configured to read the PM's MOD? theoretically speaking.

And any ideas on what the room creation ability is?

Running easychat on my site- still working on getting some things working.

http://www.rcamericaonline.com/chat/default.asp for the chat room tiself

http://www.rcamericaonline.com for the messge forums, where you can click on the link for the chat if that's your preference.

Also Kerry- how do I add extra rooms for easy chat and is the other chat as difficult to get up and running- I like the other one-looks good on your end. Dont want people making their own chatrooms though ;)

Are there other integration except username/password?

I have integrated my chat quite successfully with snitz, i think.

Check demo out at: http://www.petrisimolin.com/chatside.asp

When someone new registers to forum, chatters are notified.
When someone makes a score at tetris, chatters are notified.
When someone browses somewhere with links manager, chatters are notified.
When someone writes a new topic, chatters are notified and provided a direct link to new topic.
etc.

I am currently writing MOD out of all this, but only one snitz user has requested it from me, so i am not hurrying it.
