I am sorry for this post all. I am new at this and just am having trouble understanding it. I have Access 2002 and i have edited the config file the way it says in te readme. However I cant even get the setup page to pull up. I think this is due to there being issues with the config file not stating that it is a access 2002 file. Plz help thanks

I don't understand much what your problem is, a link to your forum site would be helpful! I think Access 2002 doesn't cause that problem, but I maybe wrong.

In these days of computer viruses, asking if you may put your disk into someone's computer is the technological equivalent of unsafe sex.

the strConnString example in the config.asp file works just fine with Access2002. What happens when you run the setup.asp page?

I am sorry I dident explain myself well. I will give a full explanation now.

I currently dont have this on the net because i am just trying to get this setup localy before I upload it.

I unzipped the files into c:\Snitz. I then unzipped the file Tools.zip into c:\snitz\tools. I then edited the config.asp file according to the readme:

'strDBType = "sqlserver"
strDBType = "access"
'strDBType = "mysql"

strConnString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data
Source=C:\Snitz\tools\snitz_forums_2000.mdb" '## MS Access 2000

I then saved the file and went to open the setup.asp file in Internet Explorer. It flashes a small dwnload screen that you cannot read and then does nothing. So that is where i am at. I am sorry for the questions but I am a newbie just trying to understand. Thankyou for your time.
