I have read through all the topics in this forum about email notification. I have try all the advice and subscription settings but no luck. I know my email configuration is fine because new member register will received an email for confirmation. I have try to set highest subscription level to board and then category, forum and topics. Then step down to category, forum and topics but no luck. I did not get notify when there's a new post or reply. I have read a reply from Richard Kinser to other member about Code would need to be added to achieve this email notification. If this is true, please tell me where can I get this code? If Snitz forum has this function build in, please tell me how to activate it. Thank you Benny

Have you really enabled the subscriptions in the "Admin Options" AND by editing the categories/forums you want to use them for?

Well, lets run through the checks:
1) If you subscribe, when you post, you will NOT receive an email saying a post was made. That would be useless email and get annoying quickly. 2) If you are subscribed at a board level, you will not see any subscription icons below that. Since you are subscribed at the board level, it would not make sense to subscribe more specifically. You are already getting an email. Why get more. 3) If you are subscribed at a category level, you will not see subscription icons at the forum or topic levels. See previous item for an explanation. 4) To set subscriptions: (a) Make sure email is turned ON; (b) Make sure subscription is enabled in the admin section. The level set in there affects ALL other subscription levels; (c) You will also need to turn on subscription at the category AND the forum levels. These are NOT turned on by default. 5) If you are subscribed at a board level, you will only receive emails when the subscription is turned on for a category and the forum being posted to. 6) Moderated posts will NOT send emails until approved. There is no email being sent to moderators for unmoderated posts.
