Mail Component: There is a file in your Snitz file calles testemailcomponent. Execute that with your browser and it will show you, what mail components are installed on your server.
Mail Server Address: This is the address for your mail server, your`re using. This could e.g. be something like www.yourserver.com or mail.yourserver.com Either way, don`t prefix it with http://
Require unique mail: This means, that no two users can use the same mail adress if turned on.
Require logon for sending mails: Turning that off, everybody (users, guests) can send your members mails without needing to logon.
1. Enable the Email function in the Mail Server configuration of the "Admin Options". Also, you have to choose the mail component and specify the address of your mail server.
2. Go to the "Feature Configuration" in the "Admin Options" and select there the subscription level you want to use (whole board, category, forum, topic)
3. You must turn on the subscriptions for every single category and forum you want to use them with. This is done with editing the category/forum (click on the pencil sign ) on the right side of the the categories/forums at your default.asp). There you must allow the subscriptions.
4. Then, you can subscribe to the whole board/category/forum/topic by clicking on the envelope button .
5. To view, what subscriptions you have, click on "My Subscriptions" on the top menu.

Yes, I did register. Sounds like some wrong setting for the Mail Server or something.

Did you enter the correct e-mail server address? Contact your host if you're not sure what it's supposed to be.

You wouldn`t get a mail, cause you have written the post yourself.
