ok, loser question number 2.... when i try to set a moderator for a particular forum, the list of users that comes up for me to select from only shows "admin". why is this and how might i get around it?
Before you can assign a moderator to a forum, you'll have to give those users moderator status first. To do that go to the members page (members.asp) and click the icon which is located at the very right side of the table with member names. After clicking on that icon, you'll be asked for your admin username and password, so enter those and click the submit button. Now you'll see the member's profile with on the right side a pull down list called "Member Level". Set that to Moderator and save the changes. Do this for each of the members you want to make a moderator.
If you try to assign a moderator to a forum now, you'll see the names of the members of whom you just changed the member level.
