ok, i know this has been asked (and answered) before but i cannot find the icon in question....

how the heck do i move a thread from one forum to another? the previous answer that i found was:

"Park your mouse over the various icons on the rh area of the page and look at the tooltips that pop up. You'll find the links there to create, edit, & delete categories, forums, etc."

...but i dont see how this is accomplished! can someone please slap me with a dose of reality? i dont see the option of "moving" anywhere!!

thanx!

When you're logged in as admin or have moderator rights in a forum, you'll find the icon next to every posts' name on forum.asp and above each post in topic.asp. Click on that icon to open the post editor. If you've clicked the first post in a thread, you'll see a list with all the forum names. Select the correct forum from that list and post the changes.
Now the thread has moved.
