I have just uploaded all the files to my server space, but when i goto the setup.asp page, in my browser, windows just tries to download the file!!!! what have i done wrong? I cant get the installation pages up!!!!!
I am using ws ftp pro to upload the files and my web address is www.inforcers.f2s.com

Alright Mate,
I dont know if you've seen the other post but I had a look at your servers web site and it looks iek they don't support asp, if they do it doesn't say so on their site anywhere I can see...might be worth askin em to be sure though!

Hmmm, i been looking at some other post, and i see what you mean. I also been to my servers, and i think your'e right about them not supporting asp. I did have a different forum program, that was made in php, but the server i had with that one didnt support email forwarding, so email notifications didnt work! I thought i'd try this software becuse it looked promising, but i'm getting tired of trying now :( Maybe i could change the files from asp to php???? NOT!!!!!! LOL
I like work, it fascinates me.
I could sit & watch it all day! |

f2s.com doesn't support ASP. . . but the do support PHP and MySQL, a very powerful combination.
F2s is the fineist free host I have every used.
There is a very nice PHP/MySQL bulliton board called PhPbb. Unless you want to pay for ASP hosting, I recomend PHPbb.
Also, there is a soon to be released PHPbb version 2

There are also some free asp hosts about if you want to try one!
