Are you logged in? If not, all folders will be active. If yes, try to delete your cookies.

Well, if you are not logged in, your last visited date defaults to 10 days ago.

We have the same problem on our forum too!!
http://www.performancecarclub.co.uk/forum
I am logged in (even created a new user to try it) and have deleted cookies and nothing helps!
Is the active topics thing even held in a cookie? I ask because, until it stopped working a few days ago, it was successfully knowing what topics I had seen even though I went between 3 different computers.
Any more ideas?

Yeah, I am logged in.
I come back fairly regularly to moderate the site (we moderate AFTER people have posted - so it's really just to check they are all playing nice) and just a few days ago it started just giving me EVERYTHING in Active Topics.
I am wondering if it is because of the frequency with which I visit?
I'll try deleting my cookies.

Just checked and the last visited date is in US format (mm/dd/yy) but the last post is in UK (dd/mm/yy) so that will be the problem.. just got to plough through the mountains of code given on that thread to work out what to actually change!!!

just replace the ReadLastHereDate function in your inc_functions.asp file with the one in the last post in that thread. |

That makes total sense. I realised I updated the inc_functions.asp when I added the email password mod.
:)
Thanks!!

I wonder what it is.

Now this will raise an eyebrow.
I put the fix in to the email password version of the file, and it didn't happen straight away.
At first it gave me a weird error, then I re-did it in Word Pad (not my usual Notepad) and it didn't give the error, but it also didn't change the Active Topics - they were still all pink.
Then this morning - almost a week later - the Active Topics have started working again.
Wacky.

So can I close this post as being fixed?

The error is noticed only between Ist and 11th of any given month. So you won't know for sure if your error is gone until next month.
And today is 12/12/2001. Even if months/day switching is occuring it will still be the same.
