Yes, that's what I based it on.
You can change the icons if you want to. |

Richard, sorry for stupid question but I don't understand the MOD lines in direction files: _____________________
If you have the MOD COMMANDER installed and you would like this MOD to show up in your list, put MESSAGE_ICON.MOD and MESSAGE_ICON.TXT in your /mods directory. _____________________
What do you mean by MOD COMMANDER and how to install it

Looking great... I implemented this a while back on the old school ASP-Dev forum. Take a glance at http://www.free-guestbook.com/forum
:) Now that I'm migrating over to Snitz forums (Finally!).... I'd like to implement this type of UBB style on mine too. Just a quick note, it would be very helpful just to provide the actual file (forum.asp) or whatever instead of cut and paste this here and there... just a little suggestion.
Cheers, Tim

This is not always practical becouse of the different mods either he or you may already have.

Tim,
Download this file: http://www1.domaindlx.com/dssdbs/files/messageiconsfiles.zip
I added v3.1sr2 already modified <b>forum.asp</b>, <b>post.asp</b>, <b>post_info.asp</b> & <b>topic.asp</b> files to the .zip file. The .zip file is the same as the above one, it just contains the edited forum files. Just overwrite your current <b><font color=red>unmodified</font id=red></b> files with the ones in the .zip file. |

You're welcome, glad you like it. (I think it could use some better icons myself though.) |

Sorry Richard for my ignorance <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> , I have installed the zip file and replace the new asp file but when I run message_icon_setup.asp i receive this message :
ALTER TABLE FORUM_TOPICS ADD T_MSGICON integer DEFAULT 1 NULL;
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in ALTER TABLE statement.
/fondazione/forum/message_icon_setup.asp, line 49
Why ?

Just taking out the DEFAULT 1 from the <b>message_icon_setup.asp</b> will fix the problem. But you will need to manually edit your database and make that field have a default value of <b>1</b>
Or, you can change the connectstring in <b>config.asp</b> to use the string that is labeled for use with Access2000 (It uses JET DB drivers which supports the use of DEFAULT in the SQL statement that is used in the <b>message_icon_setup.asp</b> |
