What exactly are the improvements if you don't mind me asking?
I'm lazy and don't feel like downloading something if I don't use it later on

Hey Stim,
I made a small but very helpful change for when you want to add more than one icon in a row. Perhaps you can change it in the ZIP file if you think it's useful too? Change lines 87 & 88 from:
response.write("<p><br><center>Smile Added Successfully<br>" & vbcrlf & _ "<a href=""admin_smiles.asp"">Back to Smile Manager</a>")
to:
response.write("<p><br><center>Smile Added Successfully<br>" & vbcrlf & _ "<a href=""admin_smiles.asp"">Back to Smile Manager</a><br>" & vbcrlf & _ "<a href=""admin_smiles.asp?action=add"">Add another Smile</a>")
Don't know if anyone besides me thinks this is useful, but it doesn't hurt to have that extra link there.

One small thing though, after I ran the update, the smiles were gone from the "additional icons" pages, so now I'll have to add them again. Was this because I ran admin_mod_dbsetup.asp to install the new mod? I get the feeling I shouldn't have done that...

Do they still show up in your admin_smiles page? I have a feeling they are all still there, they are just 'disabled' by default when you upgraded... If they are still there, then thats what it is. I'll have to fix that.

They were gone in the admin_smiles too. I'm lucky I haven't installed the upgrade on the forums that I have online but tried it on my computer first 'cause I have about 70 extra icons uploaded.
You know what, I have to get back to work now but if I have time later this afternoon I'll put everything online and upgrade the mod there. I'll let you know what happened. Of course if things get busy I won't be able to do that upgrade until later tonight.

I just examined all of the associated files (including the upgrade dbs) and they all look like they should work. Do you get the message 'no smiles found' when you click on 'additional smiles' from pop_icon_legend.asp?

I tried installing the new mod on a backup forum that I have and here's what happens:
The installation works fine. Everything works, but all smiles/icons are removed from the DB. The "old" tables that were there are emptied. This happens when the new table is added. Both pop_new_smiles.asp and pop_smiles_noclick.asp are empty and the smiles admin page says no smiles could be found. I've tried adding the table manually and setting the value to yes for a couple and no for the rest and then it works and all icons that I'd added earlier on are still there (on all pages).
So in short, the problem is that all icons are removed from the DB when the new table is added.
Oh, I'm using an Acce$$ 2000 DB, and perhaps this doesn't happen with other databases?

If anyone wants to use this MOD and hasn't installed the previous version there isn't a problem. The problem we're discussing here only applies when this MOD is used as an upgrade from the previous version

Are you sure you chose the upgrade link, not the regular one from admin_mod_dbsetup.asp??

To be honest, I can't remember... I could try again on a clean forum but that would mean installing the old mod first.
I'll be brave and try updating my forums that I have online. If it works it was either my computer or I picked the wrong file and both options are realistic 'cause my computer has been acting weird ever since I downloaded IE6.
I'll get back to you on this if my forums crash or something
