I've just downloaded 3.03 and have modified config.asp to deal with a SQL 7 database, as instructed.
Here's my problem, when I call setup.asp, it tells me I need to Login to Upgrade. Sounds great, except that it hasn't yet created the tables within my database so a Login is not possible.
It was my understanding (from a previous installation) that on a new install, a stored procedure created the required tables, etc. Is this no longer the case? Have I downloaded an upgrade rather than full version? -- I've tried 3.03 and 3.02, with the same results.
Any suggestions as to how I might best proceed from here would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.

Sorry to bring up an old topic.... but wouldn't it be a good idea to put this in the "readme" ( it's not in the txt file of the zip i just downloaded today )

Can you post, what codes you got? And a link to your forum would be good.

Trying to open your files, a download box is opened. This indicates, that your server doesn`t support ASP, so you can`t run Snitz. Contact your host, if they can enable ASP, if possible.

No. This is a bug in the setup.asp file and will be fixed in the next version.

sorcetreb, these forums are made with ASP and need a server that supports the use of ASP in order to make them work. The next version of the Snitz forums will still be in ASP. ZeelandNet doesn't support ASP (for as far as I can tell by looking through their site) so you should find a different host for your forums.

You can try websamba.com they offer FTP but I don't know what kind of service or quality they provide. A lot of people use brinkster but when you use brinkster you'll need to edit a couple files and you won't have FTP access.
