Hi!
I've developed just another avatar hack. This hack displays the photo a user selected in the profile, below its name in the thread-view. I've also developed a short modification of the inc_profile.asp which allows the user to select an avatar of an amount of default avatars.
If somebody is interested in this MOD, I'll write a description how to install this hack and will zip the additional files.

I sent you an email with the zip-file.
But yesterday I found a little bug. I think I will repair it later today or tomorror.
If a user selects a URL starting with http:// the path is not displayed correctly and the picture could not be found. but with the default-avatar choice everything works!

I've noticed a lot of duplicated effort when it comes to MODs. maybe if there was a spot MODs could go, without posts like these to make them harder to find and maybe group them by type or something.

actually there is a spot for Completed Mods but I don't know what or who qualifies them to be placed there...

Yes I noticed that a long while back but it's got to be less than 10% of all MODs.

This Mod already exists. However this one has click and select the Avatar feature.

I didn't know that this MOD already exists.
I've seen some good sites with a lot of good MODs to download, but I've seen no site with a COMPLETE Mod-Collection. The snitz homepage has only 11 MODs to download here... That's not many...
What good sites of MOD-Collections do you know?
The forumSquare has a large Choice, http://www.calvsa.net/snitz also, but no site has a complete collection.
Maybe I've inspirated somebody to build such a page. I think a site like this would have much visitors.
