I don't understand what you are trying to say, could you try explaining it a bit more?

I think he/she is trying to say that the buttons and links (also in this topic.asp : reply to topic link, reply with quote icon, new topic link) continue to include FORUM_ID, CAT_ID & Forum_Title in their URL's.
Also mentioning that they were removed in v3.3x.

It is correct that the buttons still have them, but that doesn't matter since those url you never refer to. Was that the bug ?

Because not all pages can do without them. I.e. the forum.asp page allready collected all the data that was in the url, except of course the FORUM_ID A page like post.asp doesn't need a query at the moment to retrieve stuff like title of the forum and topic when I reply. If we would only pass it the topic ID we were replying to, we would need an extra query to retrieve the titles from the database. And, like I said, for pages that aren't going to be bookmarked by anyone ever, I don't see long urls as a problem.

i personally deleted the folder tree (All Forums --> DEV Bug Reports (Open) --> BUG? 3.3(.03) Post & Replay use long url) -- didn't fit into my style.
is that why the long url is needed?
