Whenever I try to sign up a new member, I get this message

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3' 

Server.CreateObject Failed 

/kkndestroy/forum/inc_mail.asp, line 55 

Invalid ProgID. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.

Line 55 is Set objNewMail = Server.CreateObject("Persits.MailSender")
I've not installed any MODs yet (apart from all the patches - lol)
But when I go to members.asp, the signup was successful.

This is not a bug, try selecting a diferent mail component in admin

Huw,

The reason I left this here, is that we should make sure that in the default Access DB, and in the setup scripts, that the default is to have the Mail off.

Mail in the Access database set to disabled by default again in version 3.3.03
