This may have been asked and answered elsewhere. If so, I'm sorry and maybe someone could point me to the message.
I recently upgraded from version 3.1 to 3.3. Now all of my forums, settings, etc. are gone. I backed up the old database before upgrading but can't figure out how to return my settings. If I simply replace the new snitz_forums_2000.mdb with the old one, the default page is blank. The setup page tells me I need to logon, but how?
I can return the custom colors, forums and other settings by hand, of course, but the topics would be lost.
Thanks...
Bill

Can you post a link to your forum?
also, can you go ahead and replace the current database with a copy of your backup?
If you want, I'll try to run the setup for you, it should not be losing any of your current data. Can you e-mail your Admin password to: richard_kinser@yahoo.com ? I'll probably need it to run the setup on your database. |

I discovered the problem -- sorta. I typically use Netscape Communicator. When I accessed my forum with Internet Explorer, I was able to log on and run the setup. After that had been done, Netscape had no trouble with it. Anyway, the forum is upgraded and working. Thanks for replying!
