My forum loads fine. I can add and delete topics/forums. I cannot, however, change the color or fonts of the board or the numerous other functions in administrative options. I can actually change the contents of the fields, but after I hit submit, it says updated successfully, but in reality it is not. I am recieving no database errors. My database is set at full access, just for testing purposes, and as I mentioned earlier I can add topics (so it must be writing to the db - access97!). Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Could you provide a link to your forums? Have you change your default admin username? If you have, can you send me your admin username and password so I can take a look at what you're talking about.

Hmmmm. That is going to be hard as the forum is being setup on a buisness intranet. I have updated my database to access 2000 (and changed config) but that didn't seem to help. The only error I am getting is when I try to view the 'forum variables information'. I recieve:
error 80004004 /forum/admin_variable_info.asp, line 139
And microsoft script debugger brings up line 2496:
for each key in Session.Contents
Now this might be something as I see variables for fontsize and face in this area. Is this any help? BTW. I can change my admin password and that part works fine. Thank you for any suggestions.

I think there is a bug for that thing. Try the New releases Forum. there are bug fixes there.

Every bug fix in 3.3.02 I believe I have implemented. I don't remember changing anything for 'session.variables'. Are the two problems related? This error being thrown in the variable screen and my configurations not holding? I have tried a fresh install already, but right from the get go I cannot make my colors or fonts stick. Once again, I am running version 4 of Peer Web Server 3.0. The database is being altered (atleast certain tables are), but not Member Details, Server Date/Time, Font/Table, Main Forum Config ect. Thank you everyone for your quick replies. If this is something concerning uninstalled components (such as the LCID component that Spoon helped me with a day ago) what can i do? I am the webmaster/site creator/ user. I should be able to get this to work! :)

I just installed latest JET drivers and MDAC 2.6. Ack. What else can I do to get this little web server to run my forum?
