Hi,

I'm begining to learn ASP and looking at the applications
I see that the code is scattered in many .asp files. This
makes it difficult to follow what is being done code-wise. Is there
some kind of editor that lets you open, edit and look at many
files at the same time?

What does everybody use to code Asp? Just notepad?

Thanks for the answers!

Emilio

I use Allaire's Homesite. Allows you to open more than one file at a time.

I use Araneae... you can check it out here.

I used TextPad before, but I like Araneae a lot better.

i hope/pray you aren't using Snitz's code to "learn" ASP, heh

that's be like learning to make a paper airplane by looking at the schematics of a 747

Why not? I have seen many users learn ASP by playing with the Snitz Forums code.

I started learning ASP through Snitz code too. I really helped me understand how to start. What is the problem?

asp_newbie, I tried out that developerspad that you mentioned above. It seems slow to me. As you scroll down in a file it takes a second or 2 for the code highlighting to take effect (and sometimes it doesn't at all).

Overall, other than the problem above, it's a pretty nice editor.

Try to use HTMLKit
It's free, fast, plugins support, prints code in color, and many many more.
Now I don't remembre where I've downloaded it... try to search using Google.

Regards

jburris,

I use Araneae, OneWayMule mentioned it in his post above.

I've used it for quite awhile now, and am very happy with it.
