Not a stupid question at all, but a very valid point.
The simple answer to which is NO not all of them, and in fact only one or two will work without any re-writing.
Most of the installation instructions are now basically useless, the layout of the forum code is now very much different from previous versions, and therfore mod insertion points will have changed radically, and some will need major code changes to fit in with the new code.
Some MODS like active users will not function correctly, since we are no longer passing around things like the forum_id all the time.
