I'm very new at all of this. I don't really understand how any of this works. I think I followed the directions, but it still doesnt work. Could a very patient person help me out please?

Download the whereami.asp file here.
Upload it to your database folder and run whereami.asp.
The path to your database shows up and you can change your connection string in config.asp.

hmmm... lemme see...
what do i put in the second thing we are supposed to change in the config if i have microsoft access 97? I put the web adress where i had it stored, and that didnt work.

I'm sorry for you but esmartstart.com do not support asp (active server pages) that is required to run a snitz forum.

I recommend that you take a look here.

I installed my first Snitz at Brinkster.
Though they have no ftp and they're a bit slow it's ok for testing purposes.

Or maybe try Phidji.com. They got FTP but there's an annoying pop up ad.

It's up to you.
Just pick one and I'll tell ya the ConnStr
