Ok I'm having the same problem, they have given read/write/execute permission and its still giving me this error.. what am I doing wrong?? hehe HELP!!!!
You're probably not doing anything wrong unless you are the "they" you referred to.
The user account that is used by the web server needs modify access to the database file & the folder it's in. Check with your host again, I don't think they have accomplished what you asked.
