Sounds like youve got the wrong mail choice. In admin, what have you set your mail prog to?? eg. CDONTs or Jmail etc.
You have to make sure that your server supports whichever option you choose. If you only get the error messages when you click
"Check here to be notified by email whenever anyone replies to this topic."
or wherever email sending is involved, it most likly means you have the wrong choice.
If it only happens sometimes, then it sounds like a server problem, contact your host and tell them, also ask what mail they support.

it's still a mail problem, because it the options are set up on the particular post for someone to be notified by e-mail when a reply happens, then it sends an e-mail the same time it posts the new reply. If you go to the main http://forum.snitz.com and navigate to the snitz add-ons i believe under set up tools, theres a script you can download and then upload to your server and run which will tell you what e-mail components are installed on your server, you just need to then pick a working one correct one from the e-mail set up in admin

I'm running into this all the time. And the email configuration "fix" doesn't "fix" it here... I've tried each and every email config, and still get the same thing (just different lines, duh).
Any other ideas on this one?

Kelly,
It is possible that your server doesnt have any email components. Also, double check that your Server Email ADDRESS (SMTP) is right. This may also cause errors.

Yeah, that's probably it (no email component). We're at an ISP and have a couple email servers sitting around; our server guru (who set up the program initially) pointed it at one of those servers. I'll let ya'll know if adding one works (prolly will), and whether or not a DIFFERENT component exists, etc.
Thanks!
(why does it still work sometimes? and when the email option is off (both admin and otherwise)?)
