I was thinking of making a nice application, that would be free of course, but i would like to using some icons from this forum. I was wondering if i could?
I would put a link to snitz forums in the app and a statement and link on every page saying who the icons belong to (in code and HTML).
So could I, pretty plz????? :)

We (Mike and I) have talked about this a while back, when someone else wanted to make a WYSIWYG-editor for the forums and decided not to allow the use of the icons outside the forums.
Mike created them for the forums and we think it is best to keep them exclusive for the forums.

Yup,
The icons are copyrighted to me directly and are not under any form of the GPL. They are not for use in any application that is not branded with the "Snitz" name. If your product was a "Snitz" product you could use them for your application, and we would help market it and so on and so forth...

now reading my previouse post, I guess my offer was not clear.
Spoon,
If you would like to develop your product under the "Snitz" brand (with you having full leagal and intelectual rights on everything except the "Snitz" brand and the icons), let me know  . Even if you decided to charge for the product, you can do that. The only thing I would ask is that it be a quality product that rouphly fits the look and feel of the rest of the "Snitz" applications, and using the icons is a large step in that direction.
By using the Snitz brand you are also able to use the inc_functions.asp from the forums and other base code that we can make available.

Now thats alot clearer :)
That sounds good to me, although i wont be using code from the forum. However alot of things in my app are based on many things in this forum, such as signup pages, layout (in ways) and some features (like send this person an icq message).
it is going to be a quality product (modest huh? :). Ill plod along and make it, then ill show it to you, you can decide if its quality or not k? Should be ready in about 2 weeks, if i get the **** time,
