Could it be possible to make the link in an annoucement to NOT open a new window, but stay in the same window?

That is the way the original MOD works. You must have added on some code to it.

Richard - the announcement itself does stay in the same window. What I mean is when I have a link in the text of the announcement, it opens a new window.

Well, the announcement body uses the same formatting as the the rest of the forum. To change it would mean changing the way links work in topics and replies as well.

Hmmm, this is something I have asked in the past, whether it could be possible to have internal links within the forum to stay in the same window, and external to open a window. I would be satisfied if all links were in the same window if that´s easier. Would this be hard to change in the code?

It should just be a matter of changing every instance of _blank to _self in inc_functions.asp
