I am a forum member, not a moderator, and am having trouble logging into any account using this type of forum.

Prior to installing Win2k on my computer I had no problems, but now I log in, get sent to the log in successful screen, and then am automatically sent back to the forum topic. When I get there, I see the Login and password prompt again, and can post new messages but not reply to old ones. I have sent an e-mail to the forum moderators and have not yet received a reply, I'm not sure if they know what's going on either. This is not isolated, I have attempted to log in with several different accounts, using 4 different computers, 3 with Win2k and one with NT, the 3 with 2k do not log me on, the one with NT does, this problem occurred not only with the the forum I originally posted on, but with this forum as well. This is obviously an issue with the operating system and/or cookies, but I don't have the knowledge necessary to rectify it, and would appreciate any help you can give. Thank you.

It's sounding like a cookie issue, was the NT4 box running IE4 still? Because I believe this only happens if you have IE5+ on the system. Check your security settings and your internet zone settings to make sure it allows for cookies, and if it does allow for cookies, try deleting the contents of your temporary internet files.

Make sure to delete your cookies with IE, under "Temporary Internet Files" click on the "SETTINGS" button, then click on the "View Files" button, then in the top menu click on EDIT, "Selcect All, then FILE, "Delete",

otherwise your cookies will probably not be deleted

Check the time and date on your computer. Make sure it's current.
