I have followed the following directions to set-up the Links Manager to the front page but I'm receiving this error:

Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0411'

Name redefined

/forum/links_inc.asp, line 3

dim strDBType, strConnString
----^

I have the correct Database and Connection String but there seems to be something wrong because it is not working.

1) Unzip the files from this zip to your main forum directory.

2) In links_inc.asp, configure your strConnString and strdbType accordingly.

3) In your main default.asp page, include it where you want by inserting this code:
<!-- #include file=forum/links_inc.asp -->

4) That it's. Enjoy.

that's for people who wants to use the links manager on a non-forum front page as the description stated.

if you wanted to use it on the forum default's page use the zip that says for forum default.

I got it to work. The problem was that I was confused with your "Front Page" version as you call it and your "Default" version. Because I wanted to put the Links Manager on the front page, I naturally chose the "Front Page" download. But, after I read your post, I downloaded the 'default' version where 'default' really means front page(default.asp). A little confusing.

Thanks for your hard work.

but these add-on's were by request, yeah i admit the naming is kinda confusing. but named according to how the request were stated. At the time, it seems logical to me.
