I updated Nam Trung's UBB to Snitz import script. You are free to download, modify, and use it as well.

I fixed many bugs that prevented Nam Trung's earlier version from working with data created during earlier versions of UBB.
1. fixed problem with 2 digit year dates (format MM-DD-YY)
2. fixed problem with users/subjects/etc that ended in "Z"
3. fixed problems with AM and PM in the posting times
However, you should be aware of the following known issues with this version of the script:
1. will not work with topics that have >9,999 replies.
2. My version only works with UBB installations that required posters to register and login before posting
3. this script imported about 99% of the users and postings. I could not determine
what went wrong with the other 1%. Be prepared for some loss.
4. will only import users with complete email addresses (i.e. - "dan@aol" is incomplete)
5. Topic files must be 10 characters long (ie - 123456.cgi). Otherwise, modify line 207 in import.asp |
