For those of you that are using IE6 Beta, just thought I would let y'all know that there is a newer version now available for download.
It gets rid of the Personal Bar, it's now changed to the Media Bar.
Privacy feature has been updated as well.
Smart Tags have been added also.
For more details see here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/preview/default.asp |

Richard have you noticed when you installed either version of IE6 that your Windows Explorer seems funny?
What I mean is alot of the + and - signs beside my folders are not there. They will be there, then if I click on the + the - kind of disappears after a second. Maybe it's something new?? Not sure but it is bothersome not being able to close the subdirectories.
If I uninstall IE6 all is back to normal

I hadn't even noticed one way or the other. I never use Windows Explorer. But, I just checked it and all seems ok. |

Can you still double-click on the vertical line ("branch") for the level you want to close?

This is kinda freaky. Those lines running down the far left side of the image, if I click on one of those itsy bitsy dots on the vertical line, it opens up the corresponding folder to the right.
Tried a dble click on it but nothing happened

The politics of Smart Tags aside, it would be useful if someone could provide the code change to add the "opt-out" meta tag to Snitz:
<meta name="MSSmartTagsPreventParsing" content="TRUE">
Having just fiddled with my meta tags in Snitz for the first time, I'm afraid I don't understad the syntax for adding new tags with the quote marks correctly and vbclef thingie.
Can someone provide... ?

SmartTags won't be in the final version of IE6. Microsoft said it's not ready yet. They are still in Office XP though.
Do you mean like this?:
Response.Write("<meta name=""MSSmartTagsPreventParsing"" content=""TRUE"">" & vbCrLf) |

Yes, thank you, that's exactly what I meant
They're still part of Office XP, though, no?

What tool do you use for file work then? Just curious, I'd be lost without Windows Explorer.
