Ok, I have an NT4 remote server and it's been working great until I install the new alpha snitz version

I get this error saying "System resource exceeded" (sounds bad) then when i refresh the ASP pages will not load. I had to wait many hours for the remote server to fix itself (possible restarting)...

anyone have any ideas, please

at what point does it cause your server to "crash", no one else has reported this as a problem, so some further info would be useful

Did it work after the server was restarted? If so, possibly you have (had) and orphaned .LDB access lock file in the folder with your database file.

and i still have no idea why the forum is causing the problem, so i'm hosting on a different server for now

No, same problem happens.. It loads a deformed page with the error message "System resource exceeded" and when i refresh it hangs

Actually, there are two people reporting the same general problem here:

Is it an installation without any changes? Did you install any of the MOD's. I saw several beta version MOD's which do not close the databases or recordsets properly.

Think Pink

make sure your inc_footer.asp contains this code:

my_Conn.Close
set my_Conn = nothing

this closes the database connection.
