I'm using Snitz Forum from about 2 months and today i ot this error while trying to read a post :

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Could not use "; file already in use.

/r6italia/forum/inc_top.asp, line 42

What's the problem? Plz help me!

Possibly someone else had the database open while your script was trying to access it.

Did you buy any chance update your MDAC? I updated my MDAC, and it changed some "reference" information. I found these settings by going into any database, and going to Tools in Access, and bringing up references. I can't seem to find it right now, though. My boss, who's an Access guy, showed me this. I couldn't believe it. I was stunned. But he was right.

The references only have to do with VBA code used when running the Access program, and yes if you update your MDAC you may need to update some references, particularly the DAO reference if you use DAO. However, this would have no impact on using the database file from an external program, like in Snitz.
