I don't know why, but it sometimes happens to me,too. I thought that it was a language problem since I have translated mine into Turkish, but I see now that it doesn't.

This is from Microsoft PWS Documentation:

quote:

URLEncode
The URLEncode method applies URL encoding rules, including escape characters, to a specified string.

Syntax
Server.URLEncode( string )

Parameters
string
Specifies the string to encode.
Example
The following script

<%Response.Write(Server.URLEncode("http://www.microsoft.com")) %>

produces the output

http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Emicrosoft%2Ecom

Applies To
Server Object

This is used in 14 points in config.asp, inc_functions.asp, setup.asp and modcmd.asp. Most probable is the chkstring function's "urlpath" or "JSurlpath" options. Mostly its used to form a valid link (Anchor <A>), but in link.asp it's used in a response.redirect statement.

Is this the case you have above?

Did yu edit the code? What version do you use? Can you post a link for me to see what exactly happens?

BTW, the next version will get the forum topic names etc from the database, not through the URL. So, this behaviour caused by "escaping" the string will never be the case, I think.

Hi bozden.

Yes, this is the case at my forum, and probably the reason to the problem.

Is there anyting to do to solve the problem?

Sorry I missed this post, but I think I answered your Q before :
