I never really paid attention to this until now, but I hope someone has a clue to help me out..
When a user posts new content to any of the forums, the folder icon SHOULD change to indicate such on default.asp, right? Mine dont seem to be working that way. The only way to know if someone has posted new content to any of my forums is to look at the last post column and read the date/time.
This is starting to become a problem as my forums matures when there are several posts in several forums.
It SEEMS (but I dont know what im doing) that the most logical location of this code is in the inc_functions.asp under the ChkIsNew function, but im not seeing any associated problems (again, but I dont know what im looking for).
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please let me know!
Thanks,

Actually, there's a CheckIfNew in default.asp that I think it's using.
look in your default.asp, that maybe where the problem resides.

Thanks for your response!
I searched my default.asp and there wasnt a reference to ChkIsNew or CheckIsNew. If you're sure that this code should be in there, could you give me an idea what lines i need to add and approx where it should be inserted?
Thanks again

The ChkIsNew function, should be located at the bottom of default.asp, and is called in a couple of places in default.asp
try doing a search for icon_folder_new

I was just on my way back to say that (as HuwR pointed out) the ChkIsNew function IS called throughout default.asp. Why J++ didn't pick this up the 3 times I tried it, is beyond me.
I tried to copy ChkIfNew from inc_functions.asp to default.asp, but that didnt seem to do the trick either.
