Hi, I am also getting the Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Operation must use an updateable query.

/forum/inc_functions.asp, line 644

My permissions give me rwxrwxrwx ...so I think my permissions are okay. Any other ideas?

Jeanne

Your problem as with every other
"Operation must use an updateable query. "

Means your permissions are not correct.

You state your permissions as rwxrwxrwx these are not windows NT permissions, what server are you using?

as well as read and write, you nead modify under NT, and these permissions are for the Internet user not your login.

Thanks, I already resolved this by getting the hostmaster to give full permissions.
