I get this error when trying to run the DB_set up file:Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0131'

Disallowed Parent Path

/redclad/mod_dbsetup.asp, line 1

The Include file '../config.asp' cannot contain '..' to indicate the parent directory.

What exactally does this mean and what do I need to do to fix it?

Brian,

I don't know if I will be of much help...

When I installed the events mod, though I did not get the same error it could not find the config.asp. Apparently, unbeknownst to me, some of the mods are setup for a sub-folder called MODS in the forum directory. I did not have this sub-folder, so I edited the mod_dbsetup.asp to not look in a parent directory, but instead the "root" where the files are located.

use the mod_dbsetup from the zip.

downloaded latest zip from your site and all I get is a error 500 internal server error.

Think I'll try the other suggestion

if only I knew what I was doing :P
