Hello Davio and all First its late and maybe I'm just over looking it. I've been working on adding your email password mod to my board. From what I can tell I've made all of the code changes needed. Your direction indicate that all files have been clearly commented. I cant seem to find any comments in the inc_functions.asp . The only changes I've noticed are at the bottom of the file. Unlike the others its not commented "Email Password Mod" . I only bring this up because after I've made all changes and tried to register its telling me I need to enter a password. (Well the password box has ben removed ) Like I said its late so maybe its just me.
Yeah, I had noticed that when I was looking over the code. Sorry about that. But I had updated that mod but it hasn't been updated on the Snitz Forum. It was just a fix for an error that a user had reported. And I had commented that part of the code too.
Davio I'm still unable to find the commented areas in the inc_functions.asp. Thats if they were commented like the others. " ' ################ Email Password Mod ################# " I'll take another look at it. The file I have is marked Last Updated: June 04, 2001. Again Thanks for your help.
Aww maan!!! I could have sworn I did. Anyways, it's just that one function at the end of the file, right before the javascript code. The emailPassword() function.
Thanks thats all I seen that was different. Any thoughts on the reason why its telling me I need to enter a password when I sign up (testing)? All seems to work fine until that point.
You mean the password fields are still there when you register? If you see the fields then you didn't implement the mod correctly. Those fields shouldn't be there. Double check your inc_profile.asp page to see if you added the code correctly.
I understand your busy so I didnt push the issue. Its not like this keeps my board down. Anyway I sent you an email with a link to my test forum. Thanks Davio.
