Hello, I am having trouble with the access to the forum I tried to use Members & Password but my members couldnt get access. Tried to switch over to Allowed Mebers (hidden) put the members on the list and they couldnt get in is there a problem just with the code or am i doing something wrong?? I'm kinda new at scripting Hoping someone can help....If there's any more info needed to help let me know.
I sure will sorry it took so long to reply register as Davio and I will give you admin functions. Also I noticed that the edited by function isnt working either. Wondering if a mod I installed messed a few things up hmmm. Thanx again Let me know when your registered via pm at my site. I've also post a testing forum at the site also. So folks can help me.
I don't see any problem with your forums Niteridr. I set the "Auth Type" to "Members Only and Password Protected" for the testing forums you created. When not logged in, it asked for a password, entered it and got in ok. When logged in as "test", it let me in because I am a member.
Changed the "Auth Type" to "Allowed Member List (Hidden)" and that worked ok. It didn't show up when I wasn't logged in. And it was able to access the forum ok, when logged in.
Hmm... Gonna have to run a few test myself and see. when changed a forum over to that format blame the pm's/emails started flying "cant get access". So ofcourse I asked if they were logged in they said yes but still no acces to thse forums. I will do some more testing on my own. To verify what you have found. Thanx you very much for your time. I'm gonna blame operator error. hehe
