My site suddenly get this error message:
HTTP 403.9 - Access Forbidden: Too many users are connected
Internet Information Services

After I emailed to my webhost, they replied:
hello,
Please debug recompile your asp script, The reason this is happening it because when users are accessing that script the are not completely closing their connection.
Your asp script is suppose to do this for you. After 15 hits on that page , it will occur again and again till this script has a set variable to automatically close the connectios.

Please tell me what I can do? Thank you.

thomas2929,

Have a look at this article from Microsoft: Error Message: HTTP 403.9.

This explains why. Need to re-install IIS 5 from the server and not off the Professional Workstation.

Thank you, Classicmotorcycling

So, it means the webhost that my site was hosted is not the reliable one. It's so difficult to find a reliable one.

Somehow I doubt your host is running on W2K Professional.

Thanks Doug G,
You mean my host put my site at Windows 2000 Professional instead of Server. I cannot believe that do that to me. I am so mad. I have paid one year hosting fees already.

No, I can't believe they are running your site on W2K Professional either. Any hosting service doing that would be asking for disaster. The MS article quoted refers to the built-in 10 client limit in Windows 2000 Professional.

There could be a connection limit set on their server even if it's on W2K Server.

What they told you could be correct too.

Here are a couple more links that may be informational.
