I'm still getting this error message:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Could not update; currently locked by user 'Admin' on machine 'CHEETAH'.

I can't seem to get rid of it - it pops up spontaneously and locks everyone out of the forum. I've had my server turn the permissions on and off and it didn't help. I have no clue to how to fix this problem so I'm trying to take another path.

I have a test forum that is working perfectly with no errors - I want to upload that db in place of the one I currently have b/c I think my current db is corrupted somehow. (maybe not corrupted, but it thinks it's open somehow)

Is there a way to easily transfer (or import) messages from one database to another? I hate to lose all the messages in the current forum.

Thanks for the help.

This normally occurs if you open the access db in access while the forum is using it.

But I didn't open it in access - I didn't even have access on my computer at the time.

Do you have any thoughts on how to fix it? Is there some type of code I could run to close it?
