I am trying to implement NT auth, whenever i switch it on it says I should enable non-annoymous access what does this mean as i cannot find this option anywhere?

That option is controlled on your IIS server. I used Internet Server Manager and properties on the forum folder. Then under the Document Settings tab you'll find the options for Windows authentication.
