I got throught the ftp process just fine. When I went to open Snitz initially, I got the message that said basically, "Hey, you forgot to reconfigure your config.asp!" I took this as a goods sign. After a few attempts at configuration, I began to get a HTTP 500 error. Page can't be displayed. All subsequent attempts at configuration have not succeeded in eradication of this error; even a return to the original non-configured state. Any suggestions?

try running setup.asp

The only "configuration" you should have to do is to type in the correct database path and uncomment the type of DB that you are using.

And double check your spelling! Also, don't forget to check your permissions. I was up all night figuring it out. Finally got it to work.

I am required to kill, so I kill. That is enough.

Thanks to all who replied. I am checking with the server to see if there is something going on with Access on the server. Nothing else has worked, since I triple-checked all the configurable parameters.

Thanks especially to the helpful person who was required to kill. That was really a help.

In your IE browser, opent the Tools - Internet Options - Advanced menu and uncheck 'show friendly HTTP errors'. You'll get a more technical 500 error message that may help you figure out what's wrong.
