My Forum is located at
http://www.delwindragonfly.com/clan/forum/
I just got it installed today. The problem is that I can make a new forum, but anytime I try to read one, I get the following error:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01bd'
Object doesn't support this action
/clan/forum/forum.asp, line 179
THis also occurs when I try to click on the membership list.
Please help me with this. Thanks

It's not supporting the cachesize property. What database type are you using?
I need to know this before I tell you on how to fix it, just to be sure.

I am using Access, and the database that came with the forum (located in the tools.zip file). The database is on an NT server, which is different from the web-server. Do you need to know what type of ASP scripting it is using as well?

I also found a new error, not sure if this is related. After a new member has registered, at the bottom it says "Please welcome our newest member name.
Well, if you click on their name, you get the following error:
ADODB.Connection.1 error '800a0bb9'
The application is using arguments that are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another.
inc_top.asp, line 42

Ok, I commented out all lines on several pages containing rs.cachesize=20.
Now, I have several questions.
1 ranks and stars are not working. I understand from reading elswhere that the stars not working is due to the Chili!ASP. That I can understand. But, the ranks are also not going up. Is this also due to Chili, or is it related to rs.cahcesize?
Second, if a thread goes over the alloted amount per page, a page number does not show up to jump to the next page. Users have to go up one level to the category name to get to the next page. This was a functionality that was available to us under my old host (who went out of buisiness) while using these forums. Is this related to rs.cahcesize, or is it something that can be fixed?
My hot-topics flaming icon is not showing up when there is a hot topic. It is staying at the purple folder. Is this something that can be fixed?
Can you tell me what other functionality I might loose due to not being able to use rs.cachesize?
Thank you for all your help!

No you didn't. I was actually looking around to see if I could find more about Chili!Soft and about what functionality you lose when commenting out the cachsize.
But I don't think you lose much of a functionality. For your other problems, it would be helpful if I saw an example of what was happening.
