is there a mod that allows members to entirely delete their post, and not just edit it?

many thanks

Just a heads up, in my experience with chat boards, there's nothing that will piss off your members more than someone deleting their post putting all subsequent posts out of context. I've seen many a board war start over this, especially if the post in question was a critical or angry post. Just a word of warning.

yes, but this is useful for deleting a member that no longer participates or has been banned, you will find your forum members actually very happy. I have a script that does this and my members are happy.

anyway if you are interested, here is the file you will need:

admin_delete_topics.asp

just add a link to this in your admin_home.asp

after reviewing it I decided I am also going to sort by members name but this one I posted is fully functional. I don't know who created it but I cannot take the credit...

Hi Dayve, that is a good control (although it doesn't work on my site for some reason) but my point was if you allow the individual member control over their own deletion, it causes problems. Cheers.

members can already delete individual replies, but they can't delete topics.

Thanks gang!
I am trying to use snitz for sort of an internal job board. so when jobs are filled, the poster can remove them. That eliminates some of the issues you have commented on.
so, does this mod exist?

Thanks again.

I would use a modified version of the LINKS mod or CLASSIFIEDS mod...
