I just upgraded my snitz database & there seems to be log in problems with some users. I've got at least a dozen e-mails from some of my board's members who say something like the following:
I type in my name and password and it says 'Logged on succesfully, thank you for your participation'. I then get sent back to the main page and it says 'you are not logged in'. I can do this over and over and have only been able to get in once. I do already have an account and I'm not sure why it does this. Can you help? Thanks.
I don't have this problem, but lots of people who had accounts before the upgrade have the problem.
Two things come to mind. 1) they might not have cookies enabled. or 2) I had this problem once in a while...I'd log in, the screen would load that said "you have logged in..blah blah" and I'd hit the link to take me back to the front page...sometimes when I did that, I wouldn't be logged in for some reason. To fix this, I just removed that link and let the page auto-redirect me to the main page. when I did this, I was logged in fine. I don't know why, but it works. You might try deleting that link, or that notification page all together.
