now, i know there is a threat for that, but there is no official mod for it. basically it should replace the "age" field, or just add a new field for the complete birthdate. and on the frontpage it displays the names of the members who's birthday is "today"

I've done something like this. I changed the necessary age for people to become members from 13 to 16. I made age a required field in registration. I was thinking about putting a "birthday" section on the front page, but I believe that information would be a bit too personal and I'm going to have to add a checkbox to the registration form "[] display birthday?" I was thinking about working on this tonight. Not sure if I'll get to it tonight, though.
I'm scheduled to launch in mid-july and my scope keeps getting bigger and bigger...I think I'm going to draw the line and just do the stuff that's on my list currently, then add all this stuff later.
I'll let you know if I get it done, though.

i shall look forward to it, i really want to have a birthday field in the stats at the bottom on default.asp
but it also needs the option to beshown or not ....

Ok, I have a question as to how I can get the birthday to appear every year. The db is setup to have a date stored as "20010508041149" so if I store their birthdate this year as that, it'll only appear in 2001, not anytime after.
Any ideas as to how I can get it to appear every year?
Edit: I'm just storing the birthdates in the events table.
