Hi all,

Anyone know why the forum might stop posting and come up with this error:

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed

/forum/inc_mail.asp, line 155

Invalid ProgID. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
Any help would be grate!

It looks like you have the mail config switched on in the Admin section, or the wrong component picked, the forum is trying to send an email out.

To use the mail capabilities, the server the forum is running on must have a Mail component running like CDONTS or JMail

Hi,

Ok I downloaded that file that checks what you can run.

I tried switching it off but it did not help. So I looked to see what I could use.
It is still off but it's working again now.

Thanks for your help.
Is there any updates I can do to the forum?
